Lloret de Mar
The former fishing village of Lloret de Mar is a popular holiday destination on the Costa Brava. Equal to the rest of the Costa Brava, Lloret has always attracted “sun and beach” tourism because of its appealing climate and privileged location. Combined with the vibrant night entertainment, this provides Lloret de Mar´s image as you know it. However, we invite you to also discover other aspects of the village: family time, sports, gastronomy and culture.
Lloret de Mar offers great family entertainment for all ages, such as the water park, a children’s´ playground, or visit Santa Clotilde Gardens, the Maritime Museum or the casino. In addition, the Costa Brava village counts with several fantastic beaches in secluded bays, such as Cala Canyelles, Fenals and Santa Cristina, as well as the large main beach connected to the boulevard and Lloret´s centre. Here you can practise many water sports activities such as sailing, snorkelling, or kayaking. The village also counts with a rich history, even dating back to the 3rd Century BC. The modernist church of Sant Romá dates back to 1522 and shows roman and gothic elements in its structure. The modernist era is furthermore represented by the cementary, designed by the renowned architect Puig i Cadafalch.
The village is easily reached by car from Barcelona in one hour. Girona airport is only 30 minutes drive.
